On Thursday, February 9th, over 500 members of the business community will gather together for the York County Regional Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Awards Program. The event will take place at the Hood Center at York Technical College from 6-8:30 PM, and will include a networking reception, dinner and presentation of awards.
The program portion of the evening will feature three key components: presentation of prestigious business awards, highlights from 2016 and goals for the upcoming year. Business awards include the Citizenship and Service Award and the Lifetime Business Achievement Award, as well as Area Business Person of the Year, Ambassador of the Year and Small Business Achievers. Highlights from the past year will be presented by 2016 Regional Board Chairman Harvey Hawkins of South State Bank, and will include an update on the Regional Chamber Office and its growth and accomplishments throughout the year. The goals for the York County Regional Chamber will be presented by 2017 Chairperson Geri Rucker of Founders Federal Credit Union and will cover topics like the Chamber’s continuing efforts to build strong relationships with local municipalities and updates on the Chamber’s programs and initiatives.
