Drive-Ins were once a popular hangout spot for many teenagers in the 50’s and 60’s. The teenagers of that era would take their dad’s souped up 55′ Bel Air, pick up their friends, and stop by their local drive-in.

Rock Hill is lucky to have a restaurant that has survived from this era, although it’s no longer a drive-in, it still has that same nostalgic feel and some of the same loyal customers.

It’s very rare that you find a restaurant that has been in business for more than 50 years. Sonny’s Dutch Mill is still serving up those same great greasy chili cheeseburgers, hand cut fries (they were out of potatoes the day I visited), and milkshakes. It is a local favorite to Rock Hill, SC and for great reason; it’s really, really good.

Sonny’s Dutch Mill menu includes classic American items like hand-cut fries, chili-cheese burgers, hot dogs, and milkshakes.
