SC Air Quality Update from DHEC
York County was in a Code Red Air Quality Alert area yesterday due to wildfires in southern Appalachian Mountain Region in the Carolinas, Georgia, and Eastern Tennessee.
November 15th had York County at a Code Red stage however, we have been changed to Code Orange as of the evening of the 16th, which is unhealthy air for sensitive groups such asthma.

Smoke from these fires can irritate the eyes and respiratory system, as well as aggravate or exacerbate chronic heart and lung diseases.
