Rock Hill is Ripe for Bar Crawls.
It’s a good thing that craft beer served in Old Town encompasses a wide variety of local beers, including our very own Legal Remedy Brewing Co., within walking distance of Old Town, creating the ultimate Rock Hill bar crawl.
Rock Hill breweries may be lacking compared to Charlotte, but what Old Town lacks in quantity is made up in quality
Even though we can’t compete with Charlotte in terms of breweries yet, many locally owned restaurants and bars in Rock Hill serve regionally brewed beer, wine, and spirits aplenty for our enjoyment. The important thing is that most of these establishments are within the same block or two, yet a completely different experience is offered at each stop. Even better is that since these Rock Hill bars and our very own brewery are so close, they are all within stumbling distance of each other, finally creating a true bar crawl in Rock Hill!
Upgrading Rock Hill’s beer choices
It used to be that we only had McHale’s and formerly the Vault to enjoy a brew. But such commonplace dives just weren’t cutting it for folks interested in spending a whole evening in Old Town, getting the full flavor of what our city had to offer. Which at the time wasn’t much in terms of craft beer. That is until recently when breweries and craft beer came into vogue in South Carolina and Rock Hill in particular. It seems that since dining options became more varied with unique places like Five & Dine and Amelie’s opening, and Food Truck Friday’s that feature local beers has managed to change the landscape for beer lovers in Rock Hill.

Rock Hill kind of had a Halloween-themed bar crawl put together by a group of friends in 2013 that involved a party bus and promised specials at local bars like Luke’s and McHale’s. But the city hasn’t seen much activity in this department since.
Take an Old Town Beer Tour
Walking from stop to stop on any bar crawl is the number one selling point for and it’s time we take this opportunity to invite locals and visitors alike to partake in bar crawls in Rock Hill with the intent of showcasing our history and some of the delicious brews we have to offer, giving competition to Charlotte’s numerous breweries and events. One of the best things about having all these beer-filled destinations close by is that you don’t need to drive.
